Dinner for Eightish

What is Dinner for Eightish (DF8)? Dinner for Eight is a great way to meet folks from church that you may not already know. Groups get together for three meetings over summer, starting in June. You share meals at participants’ homes, picnic, or meet at local restaurants (your groups’ choice). The emphasis is on fun and fellowship, so you don’t have to be a gourmet cook.

Who is DF8 for?
Members, regular attenders, those on your heart, post high school ages and up.

How does a DF8 group work?
Sign-up below or sign up at church on Sundays. Once groups are formed, the Group Coordinator will contact members to arrange the details for the first gathering. It is highly recommended that future gatherings are scheduled during your first night together.

How are the meals done?
It is up to the group! The Group Coordinator will host the first meeting, than it’s up to the group if someone else would like to host. Hosts can make the entire meal, or have dinner potluck style or, participants bring sides or desserts.

How are the DF8 groups formed? As DF8 groups are formed, our goal will be to put people together so that each group has eightish adults (could be 7 or 9 adults). Groups may be comprised of all couples, two couples and four singles, families with young children, or an all generation mix! It all depends on who signs up. The mystery is part of this ministry’s excitement!

What about families with children? Contact Grace Hirte at ghirte@sbcglobal (.net), 262-745-9187 to arrange church volunteer children care.
